As far as general introductions go, I feel this is the closest I can get to describing an extremely vague idea of who “Sam” is. To be truthful, I’m not much of a fan of the short introduction system – not that I would consider myself a complex person necessarily, but I feel as if it is inauthentic to summarize the essence of ones journey in a short few words. Nonetheless, it is something that has to be done, otherwise I’d have to be held to the responsibility of typing up a bibliography of my experiences, and whoever the unfortunate reader may be – would be held responsible to read it.

With that being said, my name is Sam, as of writing this, I’m 18 years old, and I have heavy aspirations for myself in the future. I’m fascinated with what I like to call the human phenomenon. I’m interested in the way that people behave, the way that people think, and all of the little detours in between that constitute life. Now that this has been made abundantly clear, it’s probably obvious that I’d like to major in psychology, and study as many aspects of human behavior that I can. If possible, I’d also like to study whatever theatre based programs this university will offer, because I believe that psychology and theatre arts have a very close connection with one another. In particular, I’d like to study human behavior so that I can effectively emulate it.

Growing up in a middle class family, in today’s day and age, my parents have never truly been supportive of my passion, due to how risky it may be to attempt to become an actor with all of this competition circulating, which is why my plan is to develop a safer career route accessible through hard work and education as some form of therapist or psychiatrist. If my passion still burns as brightly as I had envisioned at the time of writing this, and if I am fortunate enough to receive the opportunity to, I’d like to potentially become an actor.

Realistically, I’d like to be as knowledgeable about all things that I can achieve so that I can live a fulfilled life within a blanket of some of my childhood dreams. Passion and dedication, at least as of the current moment, is what Sam is all about.
